There aren't many hummers left, most seem to have gone south for the winter. Here is one hovering at the feeder. They are so cute!!
Ricky and Dee arrived a little after noon today. Stella had gone up to the washateria to do our dirty clothes and when I went up to pick her up, I had to go to the office to drop off a propane tank for refill and they drove up.
And here he is, diving into the feeder. We usually see more hummers when we are in Colorado, but it's later than we're normally here. This is likely the latest that we'll be here since it should start to snow soon. The weather seems to be getting colder every day.

Soon after getting the trailer set up they started fishing in the river. Ricky caught about 6 fish and Dee caught 1 but they threw them back into the river. Not only were they small, they didn't want to take the time to clean and prepare them to eat, so they will catch them again on another day.
We got some more new neighbors today. A couple from Arizona pulled into the site and we later had a nice visit with them and their brother who is staying across the river in the park.
Stella and Dee fixed us a nice supper of tortilla soup and rice. We sat around after eating and had or normal campfire. Its very nice to have some friends up here sharing in the beauty and tranquility of this park.
So long.

Great hummingbird pictures. I tried all summer to get a good one and never did!
