I skipped over Friday because we didn't do much of anything except go to the last potluck supper here. It was 36 degrees this morning, so we didn't go outside until after 9, when the sun came out and warmed things up. We spent a couple of hours at Bill and Mary's place, chatting with them. We came home and Stella prepared a dish for the potluck dinner. We had a pretty good time, sitting with Bill and Mary. We chatted with some of the other folks that we have met while staying here but since there are such limited park activities, we haven't met that many.
This morning, the temps were in the 30's again, so I guess it's true that winter begins when September comes. Stella slept late this morning, all snug in the nice warm bed with the two lazy dogs. We stayed inside, close to the fireplace and the heater until about ten o'clock when we went into town to see the Cruisin' the Canyon car show. There were about 100 cars on display, everything from restored model T's to late model performance cars. It was a beautiful day and a nice show and we enjoyed looking at all the pretty cars.
There was a quilt show in the community center, so we went to have a look. It turns out that the "show" was all very small pieces that showcase the crafts woman's work. There were no quilts for sale, but you could buy a voting card for your favorite. It was very hot in the cave where the community center is located, so I didn't stay very long. Stella looked around , but we didn't stick around. We had a couple of errands to run, so we got them done and came back home. I got in a really good nap but otherwise, had a nice afternoon.
So long.
