It was pretty nice this morning, having warmed up. It was a nice morning, so I took the dogs out for their morning walks. I came back home and talked to Todd about what we needed to do today. He said that there was still a chance of rain, so we might not be able to get the parking lot painting done, but they had decided to erect the new equestrian trail signs that we had worked on earlier in the week.
We went down to the fire hall to get the signs and load up all the tools needed to get it put up. Josh had gotten the Bobcat out to dig the post holes, so we all went up to the front of the refuge where the signs would go. I didn't bring my camera but will post some photos. Let me tell you, having the proper tools makes the work easy. It only took a couple of hours to put the signs together and get them put up. I was really impressed!
We all came back home for lunch and decided to take the rest of the afternoon off. We were all tired, so we all just hung out all afternoon. Todd and Ron rode down to the fire hall to look at a new containment vessel for a fuel tank that had just come in.
We all met back on the pavilion for happy hour. Stella made some of her delicious apple dumplings and everyone loved them. There was a man named Tom Walker over to see Linda to help her with some of her educational program, and he came to our happy hour also. Another good day at the refuge.
So long.
