These two days were work and not much else. Todd and I and Will, the Biologist intern here made a lot of progress on the kiosk. We got the heavy lifting done with the 2 X 10 boards that form the roof being lifted into place, followed by 2 X 8 boards used for the roof trusses. Everything was nailed or bolted on and yesterday we got the cedar roof installed. It was two days of hard work and we are all tired. I'll get some pictures later today and show you what we've accomplished.
We did have some fun on Monday afternoon though. Mark, the Refuge Director, had a birthday, so we had a party for him. It was well attended by everyone that works here and some of Mark's friends. Everyone seemed to have a good time and there were burgers and hot dogs for everyone.
Not too much else to report on the work days. We are taking off from any more work today. This is too much like having a real job...ugh!
So long.
