It was still raining this morning when we woke up but it soon slacked off. Thank Goodness!! I know that we went through a drought last year but it's certainly over down here!
Since everything was wet, there wasn't much we could do around here, so we decided to ride over to Marshall with Todd and Sue to order some materials for building a kiosk here. Todd is the Master Carpenter around here and got permission to order the material to be delivered to the refuge.
The first thing on our agenda was to meet up with Mark, the refuge director, for lunch at the Cajun Tex restaurant. After a very tasty lunch, we went to the Cassity Jones lumber store and ordered the materials but they won't be in until tomorrow afternoon and delivered after that.
While in town, we stopped off at the Lowe's store and I bought a piece of plexiglass to cover the front screen door on the trailer. Todd and I later installed the piece of glass to keep a little dog off the screen. Cassie isn't too bad about it, but it won't take Tramp long to put his "marks" on the cover.
The other couple that was here, Ron and Linda, left this morning. They will be going to another location before returning to South Dakota to have the drivers licenses renewed and plan to return to Caddo again in the fall. Perhaps we will run into them again.
We sat out on the pavilion, enjoying the evening and great weather after the rain was through. Although we hadn't been very busy, it had been a full day for us. We all went over our routes that we have been over and our plans for the future. I'm sure that we'll see Todd and Sue again.
So long.
