Monday November 8, 2010-Rayford Crossing RV Resort

Well, here she is, the truck has just come back from having the spray-in bedliner put in and was ready to go to make ready for clean up. The only problem is....this is not the truck that I wanted! Mechanically it is perfect, but the interior lacks several features that we want. When we were told that they had located this truck for us, they told us that the truck had a "carpet delete" option, which meant that although it is the SLT model, it had the vinyl floor covering, which I really liked, but was supposedly equipped as any other SLT. When it arrived, we found that it had the ST seats, which meant we didn't get the storage in the seat, nor did we get the nicer fabric, so we declined this truck.

We spent all day at the dealership, but they finally found the one we want, and it is on order. We signed all the contracts and they gave us a loaner truck to drive home, and we will come over on Wednesday to get our new truck. Hopefully, nothing else will mess up and keep us from getting it.

The folks at Tomball Dodge are very accommodating and have worked well with us in buying the truck. They have searched all over Texas to find us a truck equipped the way we want. Now, to get it home and start driving it. I can't wait.

So long.

I'll withhold my congratulations until you have the right truck! How disappointing but it sounds as if it is all going to work out. We arrived home yesterday but are leaving again tomorrow - me to Austin, Ted to Beaumont. Back on Thursday.
