Sunday March 25, 2012-Caddo Lake NWR

Sunday was another beautiful day here at the Refuge. It began pretty chilly and made me think of the kids in the state park. It warmed up as it has been doing and was a great day to be outside.

Here are a few more photos of the weekend.

This is the site where they spent the weekend. We made a pretty good choice of sites for them, don't you think? There was plenty of shade but best of all, it was dry. There were several sites that were unusable because of water in the site.

Here is Ian's hot rod bicycle, resting between ridings. He loves to ride his bike!

Here is the happy group just before they left.

They came by here at the refuge before they left for home. I drove them around for a tour, which they found very interesting. Stella showed the Jennifer and Ian the visitor's center where there are some photos of the Army base while Jay, Melissa and I went down the walking trail for a short walk. I was very sad when they had to leave, but they were heading back to Garland before I knew it. We had a very nice visit with them.

The rest of the afternoon was uneventful. Todd decided to mow the front area and when he got through, we sat outside enjoying the nice weather. It was a nice end to a great weekend.

So long.
