Tuesday January 29, 2013-Retama Village

Today was another great day, but just a little warm in the afternoon. We rode with Jim and Nancy and met with some of our Heartland friends at Gonzales Burgers in Donna.

It was Jim and Nancy & Kevin and Nelly's first time to go to Gonzales, so it was a treat for them and a fun time for us to be with them. We noticed that the crowds are not as large as seasons past, but there are still plenty of people there. It must be true because I asked the man working there how much meat they go through and he said 100 pounds a day. I had been told that they used over 150 pounds on a visit last season. Also previously, they have stayed open until either business stopped or they ran out of meat, and now they have stated hours of operation, ending at 3PM. Our great economy strikes again!

We went to the Trail's End RV and Mobile Home park in Weslaco tonight for a concert presented by the group Goldwing Express. They do a good show and I know that we will probably see them again.

So long.
