Monday June 6, 2011-Elkhart Campground

It has been warming every morning but its still much cooler than home. The daytime temperatures are getting into the upper 80's here but Houston has been setting records of 105 degrees, and its only early June!

We have had batteries go out in the carbon dioxide alarm, both of our computer mice (is this correct or should it be mouses?) but this morning the remote control for the Dish network remote control wouldn't work. This just cannot be! so I jumped up and went to the nearby Martin's grocery store to buy some AAA batteries. We didn't have any that size, and while I was there I picked up some muffins for breakfast.

After breakfast, we decided to go to the RV surplus stores to look at recliners. When we got there, neither store has very much in stock, so we'll keep on looking. Both stores carry more hardware and regular RV supplies than they do furniture so I think we'll start looking at more furniture stores. Then maybe we'll just buy some new furniture thats sitting a brand new trailer...

We came back home and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. I went for a walk late in the afternoon and found two new Bighorns and a Sundance had come in this afternoon. One of the Bighorns belongs to a man that I had talked to earlier in the week that had taken his trailer for service and the Sundance belongs to a couple from Virginia that just arrived for the rally. I;m pretty sure that there will be a lot more Heartlanders arriving soon for the rally. We are starting to get excited about it!

So long.
