Wednesday June 8, 2011-Elkhart Campground

Today was a very laid-back day for us. Stella washed up our clothes this morning and we drove over to Goshen this afternoon to see Jim Beletti and the others that are at the fairgrounds, ready for the rally.

My neighbor at the rally, Buddy Riddle, who is a retired Houston Police Officer, got to the grounds yesterday after having the level-up system installed on his trailer. We had a nice visit with him today.

Our next door neighbor, JD, came with us today because CJ was ill. We all hope she gets better, especially with the big rally starting soon. We stopped off at Charlie's Meat Market where we bought some sandwiches for supper which we brought back home with us. Although it was very hot again today, we all had a good time, seeing our friends.

I did my usual preparations for leaving tomorrow. I took down the porch, picked up the chairs and yard decorations, leaving only the essentials hooked up for tomorrow morning. After finishing this up, we went to fill the truck with fuel and decided to buy a toll road pass for the multi-state toll road. We figure that we can use it for this Pennsylvania trip but can use it again in September when we return to Hershey PA for the big RV show. It will save us some money on the tolls, and thats always a good thing.

We'll be on the road early in the morning, so wish us luck.

So long.
