Wednesday June 1, 2011-Red Roof Inn

Staying in this motel room SUCKS!!! The room itself is not that bad, but its not home. If you remember, yesterday the maintenance man came by and "worked on" the air conditioner. Today he came by and took the unit out of the wall so that he could clean it up and when he brought it back, it was way worse. It only blew hot air, so I called him back to the room and he immediately gave us another room. He called the office to tell them and offered to help me move but there really wasn't that much to move, so I did it myself. It didn't take that long but I did work up a good sweat.

Speaking of sweating, there wasn't much of that going on this morning. When I woke up this morning it was 58 degrees and only got up to the low 80's. It is supposed to be even cooler tomorrow, so stay tuned.

We took the trailer over to the Heartland factory the first thing this morning. I had called Jim Fenner yesterday and got our appointment time and we went to his office first. He told us that it was highly unusual for the doorside of a trailer to have the problem we had, so it will be interesting to see what they find out. We dropped the trailer off at a new factory building and saw our friend Keith, the technician that was going to do the work. He also said he was surprised to see us because he thought they had fixed the problem last year.

Stella and I went to the Golden Egg for breakfast. We both had a specialty omelet and although it was kind of spendy, we enjoyed our breakfast. After breakfast, we returned to the motel room where we watched a little television and played on our computers. JD and CJ had invited us over to eat a home cooked supper at their place, so we went to Martin's grocery to pick up a dessert to take with us. She used her Nu Wave grill to cook our steaks on and they turned out very good. She fixed steaks, baked potatoes and a salad in less than an hour and didn't have to fire up the grill or heat up the house. It was a nice afternoon with good friends.

We came back to our hotel cell and relaxed for the rest of the evening. At least the dogs like it here. They both sacked out on the bed and slept most of the day and evening. They don't play as much here as they do at home, but they get plenty of rest. I'm glad they enjoy it because I'm miserable. Can't wait to get our home back.

So long.

It's 4 o'clock and our atomic clock says it is 103.1 degrees outside! Stop complaining! Good luck with the trailer.
